151,599 g.t. and 13,800 teu. Regards, Rick
Hi Trident, not on this voyage - although she was almost down to her marks - I counted 7 high on deck and know they are 9 high below!
1,000 reefer capacity should keep the leccy busy too.
regards, Rick
Wonder how many TEU come up the M1 and M6 to Scotland when we could sail them to the Forth or the Clyde? would a big diesel ship be cost effective to do it?
Les, yes a leccy is aboard all MSC ships.
Paul, surely it would be cost effective to do that but ... nobody will pay the massive costs for a new development and then you have to presuade the large carriers to utilise it. Hence the trend has been for quite sometime to use port hubs and send daily or weekly feeder ships to those 'far flung' places (EEK) . Regards, Rick.
Yes lovely ship but looking at the houseing how many crew dose she carry i bet not many ,when i was on the last years with p&o nedloyd they had it down to 14 crew ..best wishes G
gerry o - 24 crew onboard.
Tom, it's an optical illusion - I have a 90 degree sideways view of the aft end and it is a 40' box. Send me your e-mail via private message and I'll send you the photo, if you like.
Regards, Rick
