That is definitely one of Farrell Lines' three "E-Ships"; either Enterprise, Endurance or Endeavor. All three were sold to Maersk in 2006 and became Maersk Maine, Maersk Vermont and Maersk Maryland. They were subsequently sold to MSC. One was renamed MSC Sudan and another MSC Namibia, but I don't know what the name of the third became.
The ship looks exactly the same as she did when Farrell Lines owned her. When you enlarge the image you can clearly see the Farrell Lines flag painted on the funnel (red and blue flag with a white "X" running through it). Are you sure this photograph wasn't taken in 1999? I was on the Enterprise when she made two stops at Bar, early in 1999, to drop off food supplies for the relief of famine in war-torn Kosovo. I remember it very well because, although our regular route was a circuit of Med ports, Yugoslavia was not one of the countries we normally called.
MSC Giorgia IMO 8408818 ?
Sailed from Ploce in the evening February 1. The night is spent at anchor south of the island Hvar probably due to bad weather. Sailed in the morning, February 2.
Greetings from Adria.
Definitely in Farrell colours. The trio have not carried the MSC logo, so far as I can see, remaining with the Maersk funnel. Not ENDURANCE, which seemed to have had a larger logo, a little lower on the funnel - but cannot find good images of the other to to compare.
