Built by Wm Doxford & Sons Ltd, Sunderland in 1961. 6 Cyl Doxford giving service speed of 14.5 kts. DWT 18,685.
Very similar to Stuart Prince built a year earlier by same yard, same dimensions but slightly different tonnages.

In 1971 renamed "Stolt Tudor" and taken over by Stolt in 1973; 1975 "Stolta", 1977 "Stolt Azurra", 1986 "Azurra", 17 December 1987 arrived Gadani Beach to be broken up.

my first ship 1969.12months 2 weeks first trip.capt a h kent ,c/omick quirk,2/obrian brocklesby,3/otim knowles.Bosun had a wooden leg !it could only get better after that trip.

I note Mick Quirk as C/O if he was from the Crosby area of Liverpool ex PSNC apprentice etc. It may well be the case that I sailed with him post his stint as a Pilot in Abu Dhabi in the early seventies, often wondered what became of him afterwards.

Iwas on her april 69 to april 70 as deck cadet.the only ian i remember was an engineer cadet
