A very interesting photo Gulfsolar. A description of the tragedy is given in my SN Directory Article: -

Very interesting photo but a small remark: the "Stockholm" was a Motorship not a Steamship. Infact she was propelled by two Gotaverken Diesel engines
Cheers, Mario

The hatches are open and derricks raised to unload passenger
baggage and their cars as they will have to transfer to another ship..

I am told that they found a baby in the bow of the Stockholm sometime after the collision that had been in a cabin of the Andrea Doria. Is this true?

Hello Sea Princess, According to a book published about the accident it was stated that a young girl, not a baby, was discovered on the bow of Stockholm who had been asleep in a cabin aboard Andrea Doria. Derek
