NACELLA

NACELLA

August 1954.
T. Martin 4th engineer, Alex Geddes a/3rd engineer, D. McQuirr 5th engineer, H. Davidson 2nd engineer, J. Baker 5th engineer, and J. Hunter chief engineer.
My father (2nd from left), but I'm unsure of the positions of the others. His discharge book shows that he signed on at Tilbury 14-07-1954, and off at Tilbury 30-09-1954.
The master's name may have been Barnsley.

Alan,
The visible ranks from left are: Uncertificated Engineer, 3/E (your father of course), 2/E and C/E.
I'd suggest the tall chap at the back be the 4th, whilst the fellow on the right behind the Chief is a 5/E, with the other 5/E the fellow on the extreme left (with Uncertificated Engineer braid).

Yes Fred, from the family album. I'm trying to piece together my late father's seagoing career between 1941 and 1954.
Cheers, Alan.
