Built 1965 by Jonker & Stans, Hendrik Ido Ambacht, Netherlands (Yard no 304) as VOLHARDING 12 for N.V. Vereenigde Onafhankelijke Sleepdienst, Rotterdam.
1975-to Smit–Vos B.V., Rotterdam (name unchanged).
1984-to Smit Internationale Havensleepdiensten B.V., Rotterdam (name unchanged).
1988-to Smit Havensleepdiensten B.V., Rotterdam (name unchanged).
1999-sold to General Port Services, Chatham, renamed NAPIA.
Propulsion is by two six-cylinder Bolnes diesels with a total output of 900 bhp and geared to a single screw.
