Still some big yards left in Europe then. Hope they got orders a bit into the future - it can't be the best of times for shipbuilders at the moment.

sadly, the yard will cease it's shipbuilding activities. The last bulk-carriers and RoRo-vessels will be delivered within the next 1½ year or so, and the last of the frigates for the Royal Danish Navy will be delivered in 2012.
As for the future of the yard, I will post more on this in the thread 'Shipyard visit - anyone interested?'.

Oh well, situation as has been the normal one in Europe lately even here then. Sad really. I'll look up the thread, I hadn't noticed it.

Peter, well done for some excellent picture and quality texts as well - a big thank you for that (Thumb); and yes, it is a great shame that Old Man Carras as the last one to place such a decent order, he will be missed.
