I think its pretty neat how they arranged her lifeboats. Not something seen on other ships.

I am amazed that the low overside location of the lifeboats has been approved for deep sea sailings. as already stated by Tom they would be very vulnerable in a force 10 gale and a heavy swell!

I should dearly love to see some photos or film of this ship in a Force 10 or 11.....!!

Oasis of the Seas has her boats in a similar position thought not quite as exposed. As I recall, the starboard front boat was damaged when the ship first sailed across the Atlantic to her homeport in Florida. The boat was missing for several months and new large wave deflectors were installed just forward of where the front boats are positioned.

lasuvidaboy: indeed, and on ALLURE OF THE SEAS, they moved the lifeboats back one position (as in: she has no lifeboat where OASIS has the one that got damaged).
