The British cargo ship NURTURETON grounded on 6th January 1931 off Dungeness and broke in two sections. These were salvaged and towed from Tilbury to the RDM yard in Rotterdam, where the two halves were re-united. On this photo the bow section.
Built in 1929 by Short Bros., Sunderland (436) as NURTURETON for Carlton Steamship, Newcastle. Gt 6.272.
