Oban Bay

Oban Bay

With CalMac ferry Isle of Mull outbound, ferry Clansman inbound, cruise ship Clipper Odyssey at the North Pier and Nessie Hunter off to the seal colony, there is little room in the Bay for anything else!

Lovely photo of a really busy day in Oban. Cant have been much room for yachts that day but I am sure they woud still manage to get in the way just like any other day.
Where does the Clipper Odyssey visit on her cruise if Oban is a regular stop?

First time I have seen Clipper Odyssey in Oban. She's chartered by Noble Caledonia and, from their web site, does not look as if she will be back in Oban again this year or next.

What a pity. was looking for a decent ship doing cruises round the UK, both as a memory for me and to let my wife see what a wonderful coastline we have.
Were Noble Caledonian the people who had the Heb. Princess?

No connection with the HP which, if I remember correctly, was owned by Hebridean Cruises - who went bust. Now owned by a group chaired by Lord Stirling - but the wife says they are far too expensive and should get real!

Thanks TB. will check them out, thought it was the same people who owned HP. I will follow your wifes advice, to watch but keep it real.
