Good pic Ian
This is just about the time to sound a very long blast on the whilstle, it tends to drown out the sound of bending and tearing steel

i he was on his way in to bearth and was in the process of turning her when she drifted down onto the explorer it was blowing a gale at the time dont know if this had any bearing on what happened its a good job that bulbous bow never hit her

thanks Ian, aye true enough about bulbous bow, would have made a right mess, even the bow overhang could have done right damage to the wheelhouse or the lifeboat, I bet his engines were hard astarn.
