It seems that the larger vessel leaves first as when I was on QE2 we left and Caronia followed is there anything in this or just coinsidence.

Hi Paul,

I can't assure you, but I believe OCEANA left "first" thanks to her berth, Alcântara, about 6-7 km downriver to where ARTEMIS was, in Santa Apolónia, which is more or less the distance between them in this image. Their ETD was both 17:30 and at least OCEANA left on time. (Thumb)

... OCEANA's berth was near "Ponte 25 de Abril", while ARTIMIS was where "São Vicente de Fora" is typed. (Thumb)

Hi Paul

The two followed each other to Southampton when we boarded Oceana on 28th September.

Pedro is right, it must be berths because Artemis was on berth 38/9 at Southampton. And she left before us. When we rounded Calshot, Artemis was passing Cowes.

My old folks like to plan ahead !!!!!!!!!
the booked in May for Jan 23rd 2009 on Oceana in the caribbean
they are regular P&Oers since 2000 and get some really good discounts
