Derek yet again some interesting photos you have recently uploaded and once again much appreciated by myself and all your admirers.

Thanks for your kind comments dja and alan.gamblin. There are still plenty of photos to investigate and now that I have a new scanner they will continue to appear on SN. Derek

How a fresh coat of paint can improve the apperance of a true looking Ocean Liner. Tho she did look better in the corn coloured hull. The last of the original late 1940s/1950s built Orient Liners and the last to go to the brakers yard.
Strange that the last Orient Liner built Orsova went before her ?.

The last Orient Liner built was the Oriana in 1960 and she was the last of the origional Orient liners to be scrapped.

In my previous post I was referring to the Orcades, Oronsay and Orsova. Canberra 97 was correct the Oriana of 1960 was the last Orient Liner to be scrapped.
