I like these shots!, showing derricks in working order and the unique way the 'O' boats used a wammy to pull in the topping gear in, so they had a clear view from the bridge forad to navigate.
On main line voyages (or a long passage) we would stow all the gear below.
O and it looks like the funnel is set up to paint (or soogie) with gantlines rigged and hanging down,

Magnificent Bow plate ... In Feb 1956 we did a ship visit to the 'Iberia' in Tilbury docks and 'Oronsay' was alongside Tilbury landing stage ...she too had a magnificent bow plate ... Targ and Broadsword if I remember correctly?
