Perthshire was the ship that ran down the tug Applegarth off Alfred lock in the Mersey in 1960. All the tug crew were lost.
Then when Perthshire reached her berth in Vittoria dock, a gang of riggers boarded her to prepare the derricks for loading, one of them got snared by a wire runner and dragged through a winch
A tragic ship on that day.

Jeez, Pat! A Jonah. No wonder that I have any memory of a subsequent Perthshire.
