Photographed sailing past Maassluis in poor weather on 10th July 1968, the Panama flagged PLATE RANGER was bound for Raahe to load for South America.

Built at Vegesack in 1940 as ULANGA, she became the Norwegian STORNES in 1945/6, then Westfal Larsen's TARANGER in 1947.

1945 Beached 24/04 in Moss Norway after Allied air attack.Later refloated and brought to Oslo Norway for repair.Taken over by Ministry of war Transport London United Kingdom.
1946 Allocated The Norwegian Goverment ( Westfal-Larsen & co A/S Bergen as manager ) Oslo Norway,renamed " STORNES ".
1947/01 Sold to Westfal-Larsens Rederi & Co A/S ( Same manager ) Bergen Norway,renamed " TARANGER ".
1947/02 Sold/Transferred to A/S De Norske Saltverker ( Same manager ) Bergen Norway.
1953/03 Transferred A/S Tananger ( Same manager ) Bergen Norway.
1966/11 Sold to Plate Shipping Company SA ( Companie Maritime & Commercial Paris France as manager ) Panama City Panama,renamed " PLATE RANGER ".

1970/05 BU Kaohsiung Taiwan.
