Remember her well as the Ben Veen when owned by the Ramsey Steamship Co in the Isle of Man. For most of here time trading for RSS Co her master was the late Captain Ivor Woods. She came back to Douglas once as the Medina, the new owners had increased her deadweight by altering various overboard discharges so the the draft could be increased. I think as Ben Varrey she carried around 500 tons but after the alterations she carried something like 700, but with much reduced freeboard.
