Flagship of the Virginia Ferry Corporation in an old shot my Mother took passing in the Chesapeake Bay aboard a fleetmate.
Built 1941, the steamship was made redundant by the opening of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and sold to the new Cape May - Lewes Ferry in 1964 to initiate service on the Delaware Bay.
Sold to Argentine interests 1974.
Final fate unknown.
