Hi Jim, no, unfortunately I didn't make the model, I only took the photo during my visit to last years Wooden Boat Festival here in Hobart.

Bill and Jim -

This superb model made by Hobart resident Geoff Ford, with whom I had the pleasure of meeting and being able to discuss her. Being ex-Port Line myself - Geoff was very interested and "took on board" some constructive comment .... like you don't fly the house flag on a triatic stay halyard, the funnel red being too dark and the mast colour being not quite right!! We exchanged a few emails and photos at the time - it'll be interesting to see her at the next Wooden Boat Festival or Modelmakers Exhibition at the Derwent Entertainment Centre here in Hobart.

If you go to search - m.v."Port Adelaide" model - member galleries, you'll find my post of her last year also! I think I'm right in saying, Jim, that Geoff got the plans either from you or through you - did we not discuss it by PM last year sometime?

I recall now Mike.

She was orginally built with a single post foremast next to the bridge, it had a fair rake too. I drew the model plan from a the drawings publsihed in Motor Ship magazine, and it was only when I looked at photo I had taken of her on the Clyde that I noted that it had been replaced!
According to legend it vibrated such that was replaced by goalpost samson posts.
