He loved those port line half days,him,chippie and lampy all getting pissed together what a laugh,pleasure to sail with, do anything for him.

A ship, possibly a Port Line ship, came into Liverpool, Nova Scotia in 1963, sporting a crow's nest when I was there on a Bowater ship as Cadet. In the morning someone had painted "Certified for 1 crow" on the crow's nest. My shore leave was stopped until I painted it over although I was not guilty.
