Port Line v The Rest
Wellington Harbour and surrounds. There are 3 Port Line ships here, as well as at least 4 games of cricket. Photo not so clear.

Typical Kelburn Park Saturday scene. We were able to get 4 games on that small square by having overlapping outfields.

Brent,
May not be so clear, but what a fantastic capture of the era! A bit before my time, however these were times of the stories we were used to in my times! The Port boat to the left is so sytylish for the era. In fact a great photo and many thanks for posting!

They are from left, Port Brisbane, possibly Port Adelaide with revised foremast or Watts Wanstead or Wendover both in Port Line colours during the 50's, and Port Townsville.

The other ship I think is a Union SS Co C1 class, Wairata or Wairimu.

I think the 'other' ship is the Romanic of Boltons on Shaw Savill charter. The Port ship behind is one of the two Watts Watts vessels, Port Adelaide had the topmast between No's 2 and 3 hatches.
