Love these type of pics. What would be going on in the fwd hatch and 2 hatches furthest aft? Looks like timber coming out of the fwd one? The vessels from this era always look good. I know a few people that had the fortune to sail on this ship and other Port boats of this era, and they still talk about the great times they had on them. I'm jealous!

Hi Guy's, I did two trips on the the Nicholson as an engineer in the mid-seventies. We flew out to Singapore to join her at Christmas 75-76. Flew over the Alps and could see the christmas lights in the mountain villages as we passed over them. Beautiful. It was a very happy ship and we all had a great time on Kiwi coast. I think this spoiled us as I was assigned to the ACT fleet (box boats) and left shortly afterwards.
