Picture taken in Ostend, before WW 1.
The paddle steamer in the background is Princesse Josephine - built 1888 – 1098 grt.
Was used as accommodation for the German Kriegsmarine crews under the name Villa Schlamassel and was sunk in the 1st dock of Bruges on October 4, 1918, during the German evacuation.
