Utterly splendid, Bobby. I cannot thank you enough for this glorious shot. Has to be before 1958, as my old sweety, the 'Glenrosa', is shown. I made a model of her out of solid larch in my early teens - a 6inch by 4inch end-cut of a fencing stob, to 1/48 scale (as it turned out - hadn't a clue about scale then, but I wanted the thing to be accurate). No Homebase in Tiree in those distant days. There's love for you. Only tools I had were a saw, a rasp and a brace drill (to dig out the deck and provide gunwales). I still have the model, and it got a refit recently, using styrene for the handrails to the bridge instead of bristles from the (new!!!!) byre brush! I gave it a good shave before it was used for other less fragrant matters. Resourceful chaps, these island lads! My model is remarkably accurate, going by your picture, and I must have had good shot of the boat to work from, but I lost the old pic. Donald

My late father was mate on the puffers 'Jennie' and 'Mary' (amongst others) out of Glasgow during the war and after. Anyone got any photos?

Edit: Found one of the 'Jennie' on a previous post.
