Lovely view of the "forgotten Queen"! A quick question, is the ship not entering Southampton? I am thinking that that is Netley Hospital near the bow.

Thanks Alan - you could be right and I will dig out the negative again and see if I can get any more detail. I remembered taking photos of both Queens while refitting in Southampton and I am sure I got most of the pictures from on board RFA TIDE AUSTRAL, so I assumed that must have been Fawley rather than Netley. I could have been afloat, sailing or in a Red Funnel, which would make it Netley - difficult now to remember after over 50 years !
