Thanks Alan.

I made two crossings in the QUEEN ELIZABETH in the summer of '68 and snapped a single roll of 12 negs. I was only 15 and photography was not my thing but I now I sure wish it was! The ELIZABETH was a memorable ship. Any view of those two great funnels was enough to make the heart beat a bit faster.

Have to say Stephen, Queen Elizabeth was my favorite of the two queens. I just felt her lines were better. Had the privilige of seeing both of them along with the United States many times passing through the Solent going into and out of Southampton. Photography was an expensive business in those days.

Alan,

I have to agree. ELIZABETH looked good from all angles. MARY looked best from on the beam and stern quarters.
