The Queen of Bermuda outbound from Hamilton Harbour c. 1953 seen from White's Island. Inshore, the yawl Dainty (preserved in the Bermuda Maritime Museum). At No. 1 Dock, the Ocean Monarch. Assisting the Marine Board's steam tug Justice, ex HMT Empire Lola.
Oil on linen, laid down on maple panel. 24 x 36 inches dated 2015. Wet paint!

Detail and scale, the colors, just first-rate- I thought it was a photo postcard...thank you for sharing this...

Fantastic painting, Stephen. Those were the days, when you could step ashore on Front Street and head straight for Trimingham's, for an armful of their cotton crew neck sweaters, in Easter egg colours... {{{sigh}}}
