The staggered and random bracing unerneath the promenade deck is sure interesting.!

Not random... and not for bracing purposes. Built this way as new. When you see the whole length of the overhang then it becomes a bit obvious. There are pairs of 'brackets' are to prevent the lifeboats from being caught under the overhang when lowering... or raising. The first boat position was originally a different type of boat.... like a launch with engine and a cabin.... fitted with wireless as well. These brackets were need to keep the boat from keeping caught under the overhang.
