QUIET WATERS LK 209

A few of the bigger boats made in the 70's/80's had a cabin behind the wheelhouse. Any idea Davie of their reasoning behind it?
Think thats them making in for their first landing since they bought her. Been off since monday night

It was common to have the skipper cabin just aft of the wheelhouse on the big trawlers Kevin. Some of the designers decided to do it on the smaller boats ( still big boats over 70ft ) they designed. Look at the Tynedraft class they all had a skippers cabin aft side of the wheelhouse.

I've noticed that, think if i was skipper i'd want to get away from the wheelhouse area on my watch off!!

Its the skippers cabin, its just full of old charts and stuff. I was Lumping with them yestarday, landed 190 odd with 80 of cod among it. im doing a trip with them this week, going off at 7pm tonight.
