Built in 1951 by A/B Götaverken Mekaniska Verkstad Gothenburg Sweden as " O. A. KNUTSEN " for Hvalfanger-A/S Suderøy ( Knut Knutsen Rederi OAS Haugesund as manager ) Haugesund Norway

Tonnage : grt / nrt / tdw - 11.079 / 6.568 / 17.310.
Main Engine : Götaverken 9 Cyl 680/1500 VG-9 - 6.500 bhp.

1960 Sold in June for GBP 270.000 to Rederi-A/B Sally (Algot Johansson) Mariehamn Finland,renamed " RAGNY ".

1970 Broke in two 27/02 abt. 1800 hours in very high seas and strong winds in position 38.48N-60.58W whilst on a voyage from Freeport, Bahamas to Trondheim and Ålesund Norway with diesel oil and heating oil. The fore part with 6 men sank 29/12 in position 38.32N-60.45E. The 31 survivors on the stern section were saved after abt. 30 hours by the USCG cutter ESCANABA and landed at Hamilton, Bermuda. The stern section sank 30/12 in position 39.55N-58.35W.
