Because she was due in Waterford on 1200 the day she was first moored in the Bay, after she was due, and the fact that she was berthed at Newlyn for two days afterwards. Shipping and cargo movement costs and schedules can go way off beam if a ship is not on time, so I suspected either illness or damaged or faulty equipment? It wasn't especially bad weather, after all, the practice gig went out in the bay all afternoon.
