Thats her. She stranded in a heavy snowstorm on April 28th 1955 with the loss of a trimmer, C. Cowling, dechand A. Hallibone and the cook who drowned. It turned out he was one of Polands most decorated men having the equivalant to our Victoria Cross. He was with the Carpathian Lancers who went through Syria, the Western Desert, Egypt and Italy............only to end his life this way.
