Had to take this through the railings and with
the sun in my eyes - a difficult one!

Thanks for the above. Yese there do seem to be a fair number of RFA ships visiting Liverpool. Generally I am only in
Liverpool on Saturdays so I may miss mid week visits. Most RFA ships seem to have RFA on their stern but Black
Rover only had her name and London.

Correction! Had a quick look back and I am wrong about the RFA on the stern. Also some RFA ships seem
to spend quite a bit of time in London so maybe they are being repaired.

Singer In thirty odd years in the RFA I never ever served in a ship that had "RFA"
on the stern. Name, pennant number and port of registry.

Thanks George. I realised I was wrong as soon as I had written it - please see my correction above.

Greetings,

I note the IMO number on her stern, thankfully I don't remember that requirement from that existance justifying total waste of rations aka IMO?

PS! Please add their sister organisation ILO to that shower of useless bu****s, and while you are on the UN cost a fortune and achieve little.

Black Rover has been in Cammell Lairds for a major refit for several months. They shifted her over the river to Liverpool docks to free up a berth in the yard.

Thanks Pat - that explains why she was doing not a lot in the dock when I saw her.
