Looks like a good turn out from the RFAA by the number of people stood on the flight deck though.

She looked in very good nick and will no doubt find a new caring owner.

Was she the 1980s rebuild at Swans, so i guess only 22 years old?

Answering your question Geoff ......Galahad was launched in December of 1986 and came into service in November of 1987, so only 19 years old. A ship in good condition and no doubt will soon find a new owner.

mmmm could struggle, bit of a specialised ship, though one of the originals of the 1960s saw further service with a civil line, after running as substitute for St Helena, i'm sure someone will know the full story

Sir Galahad sold to the Brazilian Navy on the 26/04/07, named Garcia D'Avila G29 will replace the Mattoso Maia G28, ex US landing ship. (Thumb)
