Rhein

Built by Blohm & Voss, Hamburg in 1899 for North German Lloyd. Although only 10,058 tons she carried 369 Second Class, 217 Third Class and 2,865 Steerage plus a Crew of 174. Total 3,625 people. There seem to be 10 lifeboats on the mid-ships superstructure and four on the poop. That works out at 259
