Just a few random thoughts.
A typical at least 50 year old Baltic trader, photographed here in the North Sea here with the ubiquitous timber cargo and probably nearing the end of her life at the time of the photo. Hard to discern the courtesy flag hanging limply at the yard, possibly Netherlands or France? Similarly hard to discern her own ensign.
Personally I would say she was built maybe 1905/10 or so, originally open bridge, steam reciprocating engine, max 8 knots if you're lucky and going downhill!.
As for the rest sorry haven't come up with anything yet.
Good memories and interesting though thanks (Thumb)
