There is an epic story told on http://www.tuesdaynightclub.co.uk/Tour_01/Medplus5.html
which features a fine photograph of the ROAN after the date of the SUN TRADER photograph.

ROAN was sold in October 2005 to associates of Cool Cat Shipping Ltd, St. Vincent who have a charter with Caribbean Agricultural Trading Organisation. They took the little LAFFORD in Oct 1984. It is likely that she will have been given an insulated hold similar to the LAFFORD and is running fresh veg etc. She was towed down to Portsmouth by Alan's LOCATOR which then went across the Channel to load. LAFFORD was renamed COOL CAT so it is likely ROAN has a new name; I have not heard one mentioned.

Roan has deffinately gone...she was owned by my grandfather (Albert) and, when he passed away, my father (Billy Rutland). She was the last barge left of my familys company when my dad sold her to Alan Pratt. We had owned BEAM, FLAGON, ROAN and Co-Operator. If there are any of you out there who have photos of them prehaps you could get in touch and let me know.
