Rondeggen marksmen

Rondeggen marksmen

A lot of seamen were amazed at how easy it was to buy a gun in the 1960s in the USA. This fellow could have used a lesson in how to hold it.
March 25, 1969 on the Norwegian "Rondeggen", destroying empty Ringnes bottles. Or were they Frydenlund?

A 22 caliber, yes, and still legal, but then you didn't need to fill out any paperwork, no waiting period either.

Here in the UK you can walk into a 'sports' shop and buy a .177 or .22 cal rifle with only proof of age. The CO2 guns - which, in my estimation are far more dangerous - can also be purchased.

Higher powers, with increased muzzle velocity, require a Firearms certificate - but the average .22 is still a dangerous weapon in the wrong hands!
