Hasse,
I was there in 1967 onboard the M/S Else Reith, we were alongside near to the first bridge, not far to go to nearest bar if I remember rightly. I took some photos of a big church with allot of bullet holes in the stone work, I will try find them.

the last time i was here was just after the legal brothels were closed, the girls were just thrown out on the streets, they were lying in our working alleys , anyplace they could find to keep alive, we used to try and give them what food we could , it was a sorry state of affairs, and before you ask NO I didn't

Thanks for the photo Hasse. I spent lots of time in Rouen in the 60's on the Paris trade from Liverpool and Manchester and later from London. It brings back some happy memories.
As the other posters said, "there were some good bars there"
Thanks to David for the Rouen Port link, very interesting

Alec.
