Used to be chocker on a Friday with the local fishing crews in the 70s, took one of the Lyttelton trawlers down there and fished out of there for 4-5 months, not well liked to begin with (F**cking poachers). But didn't take long to become one of the crowd.

Frank
Was it the Royal or the Hibernian? I think the Hibernian, where we used to get the silver foil out of *** packets, make a flat nosed dart, stick a boogie on the end and fire it at ceiling. There was hundreds up there. Is the Hibernian still going?
Well the Hibernians is still there but its now called Robbies the big bar where the bands used to be has been harved not the same many a good night was had there
there were parking meters in 1959 , may be before even London. previous year we were told local lads held a public meeting and agreed to paint all motorbikes black as the law was finding it tooeasy identifying people at a distance by their colour schemes. great town
