For those of us who remember the Royal Docks as a busy, thriving scene (where you fell in the water at risk of a stomach-pumping in Greenwich Seamen's Hospital) this dead but clean scenario is a living example of political correctness.

If nothing happens, nothing can go wrong.

I could not agree more. The word sterile springs to mind, in an area previously pulsating with activity and interest.

Very sad to see though when you think how busy it was with ships and barges more or less filling every space.

'Sterile' sums it up perfectly!

Yes, gentlemen, #sterile# is the perfect description. I'm still shaking my head. I wonder if the 'Rose of Denmark' is still there?
