Thanks for another excellent set of photos! One wonders just how long these "classics of cruising" will remain with us? Sagafjord is the only ship announced to go for scrap next year... Any updates?
Mike - The Sun Viking
SAGA ROSE might end up on the beach before thee end of this year. She is due baack in Southampton aat the end of her final cruise on 5 December 2009. Saga are looking for a buyer to keep her frrom the breakers but I don't think there are any out there right now. A pity. She is a truly great ship.
Royal Viking Sun is still around. After her stint with Seabourn as Seabourn Sun from 1999 thru 2002, she joined HAL and became Prinsendam, where she is still enjoying great popularity amongst repeat cruisers. In January 2010 she will be drydocked and have 22 new cabins added along with a new sea-view bar and her pool deck extended.
