Hi GlobeChart,

Many thanks for posting. I did my first trip as Chota Marconi Sahib (2 R/O) on Mahseer/GZSV in 1963 under the expert tutelage of the Burrah Marconi Sahib (1 R/O), Harry Jefferson. A lifetime ago and it still seems like yesterday.

Salaams,

gwzm/John

Hi John & John, nice old ship but only did emergency trip joining in New Orleans for trip back to Liverpool Sept/Oct 1967. Actually have a copy of Cunarder magazine showing pictures of Mahseer's final agony of being beached at Gadani - what an ignominious end to a fine old ship.
It does seem like yesterday, but since coming ashore I've been a shipbroker, so I keep up with it, albeit in the modern uncaring unknowing manner.
Regards, Roger
