6-cyl. 4 S.C.S.A. (15" x 20") Mirrlees KLSSGMR-6 type engine by Mirrlees National Ltd., Stockport, geared to a fixed pitch propeller operating within a steerable Kort nozzle. 2,100bhp. 12 kts. 31 tons bollard pull.
10.7.1968: Launched by J. Pollock Son & Company Ltd., Faversham (Yard No. 2144) for W. H. J. Alexander Ltd., London.
12.10.1968: Completed.
12.1968: Delivered.
27.1.1969: Sold to London Tugs Ltd., (Ship Towage (London) Ltd., managers).
1.1.1975: Owners acquired by the Alexandra Towing Company Ltd, Liverpool.
28.4.1976: Owners restyled as Alexandra Towing Company (London) Ltd.
1.1.1996: Owners restyled as Howard Smith (London) Ltd.
1997: Sold to Taipan Shipping Ltd., Nevis (Yarmouth Shipping Company Ltd., Alresford, managers) and renamed SAGA SUN under Belize flag.
2003: Sold to Mariners Haven Ltd, Trinidad (Saint Vincent Tugs and Salvage Ltd., managers, Kingstown, St Vincent and the Grenadines)

kyrenia we have crossed swords on this one before. vanquisher was a beaut but i think and this is a personel i thought that this class of sun tugs were like a dusky maiden to a first triper love at first sight regards derek
