Built for Maritime Fruit Carrier's (MFC) account as the "Chrysantema", the largest ships in the fleet, taken over by Cunard in 1976. They were known as the Supercore's and were extremely powerful vessel's at @ 23.000bhp (B&W) = 23 knots.

They certainly were Barry but expensive to run, the fuel crisis at that time did not help along with Salen's and the various Bank's getting together bringing the downfall of what was a great Company to work for(Applause) while it lasted, in my view

worked on her 1977 carrying bananas from central america to europe. great run ashore good ship good crew.
