T.Silvey (Sand Supplies Western Ltd)'s 1949 Dartmouth built sand dredger SAND GEM, which had in 1970 been converted from a general cargo ship, is seen passing Battery Point outbound from Bristol exactly fifty years today, on 20th July 1971.
