Mick - Looking at the narrowness of the quay apron and the sheds across the dock and that bit of brown brick building in the background , could it be Liverpool ?

Its Liverpool, Glasson Dock, loading bagged sugar for Jordon, the first cargo on her Maiden voyage, I know as this is where I joined as first trip cadet. 16th July 1976, it took about 5 days to load, Matt England as Master, your dad Chief, Barney 3rd Eng, John 4th, Roy Fairburn Eng Cadet and Frank Freeman Deck Cadet, (other names lost in the mists of time). First voyage was to Aquaba, Jordan, via the newly reopened Suez Canal, next via the Cape and stopping at Cape Town for bunkers was a cargo of Plywood loaded in Nigeria, for Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

Other wives onboard where Matts the Mates wife and Barney's wife, she visited the ship as it was his home port.
