A coastal liner of the Pacific Coast Steamship Company at the Company dock, she is, I believe, the 'City of Topeka', an iron steamship of 1,057GT, built by John Roach at Chester, PA in 1884 for the Oregon Improvement Company.
Ran, mainly to Alaska from Puget Sound and San Francisco, for Pacific Coast from 1886 until 1919, when she went to Honolulu as the 'Waimea'.
