The SEAWAY PRINCESS and her sister ship SEAWAY PRINCE were unusual looking ships having a less than tradition superstructure. This was due to the vessels being gas turbine and fitted with an odd looking funnel which resembled an upsidedown planter. Both vessels were built in Australia in the mid 1970s but had a short life as they became casualties of the fuel shock of the 1970s - both vessels were laid up in 1983 and towed away in tandem in 1986 to the breakers in Taiwan - A sad end.
