Built to take the crap out of Glasgow and dump it outside the ***braes. All changed for the better after the EC. We used to call then Banana boats when the passed doon the water.

Also known as the 'Bovril boats'. Now preserved and sailing on the Solent in the summer months.

I was on the delivery job Greenock Glasgow to Southampton via Holyhead. December 1977--bad weather but didn't ship any water. Nice and clean below decks--no odors! Gooseneck boat davits. New owners were Southern Water--believed they used her for several years up and down Southampton Water -- and then took a Manchester Bovril boat for the work.

She'd look so much better if they got rid of those enclosed bridge wings which were only added when she went south.
